Hi, I'm Fi

I am Fi. My stomach & I have been on a chaotic food journey. From as early as I can remember, I have suffered from belly ache on a regular basis.

Cooking and baking food from scratch is such a big part of my life. I decided to make a series of cook books containing cherished family recipes that have been passed down through generations, tweaked by me to accommodate belly aches. I want to pass this valuable knowledge on to my 3 beautiful children and generations to follow.

My Story

Prior to meeting my husband at the age of 20 I thought everyone had belly ache. He explained that it was not normal! 

So I saw a nutritionist and we formulated a plan. 

From then on, I was in tune with my belly and it’s response to food. I realised there was a family history of stomach issues and that my mum’s side of the family baked to accommodate their belly aches. Over the past 20 + years I have tweaked the recipes so that my children and I can still enjoy the yummy bakes but without the resulting belly ache!

I have included a ‘Belly Bliss’ mindful tip and a ‘Belly Boost’ food tip on each page that I found helped us with our belly aches. 

I hope Belly Bakes helps everyone to cook with their belly in mind and prevents others from suffering the discomfort I have experienced.
